Salsa (Advanced) Description(8-9PM)
Come learn this brilliant, hot and spicy dance that will inspire Latin vibrations in everyone! We bump it up a notch for the experienced dancers! This class will help you sharpen your skills to bump your dance moves to the next level!
For the advanced class we are building on the basic steps - adding different variations to the basic moves and introducing small independent sequences known as shines. Students can use this class to widen their range of movements/combinations and learn a bit more about musicality.
We're going to start with super basic mechanics of the most common moves for the beginning class and incorporate how to string combinations together in any order based on the desires of the individual. This class is available to new to salsa students and is focused on building confidence and providing a solid basis for the movements most used in salsa dance.

I got into dancing hip hop when I was 18 years old. In 2007 I was introduced to Salsa dancing in Asheville and instantly fell in love with it. I did all that I could to teach myself how to dance salsa - even used tall swivel chairs as aids and practiced between clients at work. In late 2008 I started teaching in Johnson City, TN. Since then I’ve been teaching Salsa, “L.A. Style”, On1 & Bachata. I’m a very technical teacher and I will show you the steps to the dance moves and combos so you can develop your own “style” and have fun while increasing your confidence.
I got into dancing about five years ago, starting with Lindy Hop/Swing. While I love that community, I was introduced to Latin dance two years later and found it an incredible place to explore myself and my expression of creativity - it has been an amazing journey. I have been teaching on and off for the past three years, but I am a constant advocate for dance in all of its forms. Dance has been a massive positive impact in my life, and I hope to share that with as many people as possible. https://www.facebook.com/events/782471675481212/?event_time_id=782471722147874
