Come out and try zouk for the first time, or improve your zouk skills!

WHAT: Brazilian Zouk Lessons

Level 1 (7:00-8:00pm) Fundamentals w/ Alisson RSandi
Learn the fundamental steps, movements and lead/follow technique in zouk. No experience or partner necessary. Drop-ins are welcome any week, but we start a new cycle on the first Monday of every month and cover a full cycle of fundamentals each month.

Level 2 (8:15-9:15pm) Technique & New Moves w/ Alisson RSandi
Aimed at people who have learned the basics and want to take their dancing to the next level, we will focus on lead/follow technique as well as more complex movements and patterns.

After class we will have a practica each week from 9:30-11pm so you can practice what you've learned: RSVP at: Brazilian Zouk Monday Practicas

COST: Drop-in (cash or Venmo) or DanceSport Class Cards
$15 drop-in for either class (Level 1 or 2)
$25 drop-in for both classes (Level 2 students are encouraged to come early to take the beginner class too)
DanceSport class cards: 5-classes for $65, 10-classes for $120 (class cards cover a single class, and it's $7 extra if you take both classes)

District Zouk was founded in 2014 by Amy Abbott, Ashley Kent, Bianca Desroches, and Valentine Luu. All four are friends who came together because of their common love of Brazilian Zouk and commitment to expanding the zouk community in Washington, DC.

District Zouk offers weekly and monthly classes and events in the DC area. They have taught at a variety of venues and festivals including the White House Kizomba/Zouk Summit, the Midwest Kizomba Zouk Afro-Fusion Festival, the NCZoukfest, the Interfusion Festival and the DC Bachata Congress.
