We currently working on a new interface that will enable promoters to add their events directly to our site without the need to create and invite from Facebook events. Stay tuned!

 

FACEBOOK EVENTS IMPORT

  • 1. How do I connect with Latin Dance Events on Facebook?

    Once you sign up you will receive an email with a direct link to the Facebook profile for your region/state to connect with that you will invite to the events you want added to the LatinDanceEvents.com website.

    The email will have further details and guidelines as well.

  • 2. When does Latin Dance Events import my events?

    Currently, imports run daily to update existing events in our database, but new events being added depends on quota restrictions set by Facebook.
  • 3. How do I know when my events are being imported?

    You will know that we are importing your events because our Facebook manager will say they are "Interested" in your event. Please be patient as Facebook can be quick to block us if we are showing interest in too many events per day. This is why we encourage you to list your events way ahead of time and set up repeats when possible.
  • 4. What is imported from the Facebook event?

    We import the location, date, time and description.

    A link to the actual Facebook event is included on our event detail pages of our site for reference as well last the bottom for visitors to view if needed.

    Repeat events will be imported as well.

    Images are NOT imported, so please make sure your events have descriptions of details. (Events with no description will not be imported)

  • 5. What if I change information on my Facebook event?

    The information will be updated in the next daily import.
  • 6. What if something doesn't update or I need something updated before the next import?

    You may message our Facebook manager profile or simply contact us here on our website and we will update it for you to correct any issues.
  • 7. What if I cancel/delete my event on Facebook?

    The event will be automatically removed from Latin Dance Events during the next daily import. You may contact us if needed if it's last minute and we will do our best to assist during normal business hours.
  • 8. Can my events be imported through a tagged image?

    No. Images do not contain the data necessary to create events. Please do not tag us in your images.
  • 9. If I tag the Facebook manager in an image will Latin Dance Events share and promote it for me?

    No, we do not share or post images for promotion of events. Please do not tag us on events or images. We ask for event INVITES only please. Anyone who repeatedly tags our profile will be unfriended and removed from the program.
  • 10. What if I do not create events on Facebook, can I still get my events listed on Latin Dance Events?

    Our backend system is currently under development and we will notify all event promoters we have email addresses for when it is launched.
  • 11. Where are my events displayed after importing?

    Your events will be displayed within the local regions event list of where the event venue/location is located.

    Each event will have its own detail page.

    Events are also sent out to our newsletter subscribers for that region.
